This site collects nothing.

No form, no account, no cookies, no analytics. The camera a host's QR code opens is Kachak itself, and the app's policy covers it. The one list we did collect has done its job and is being closed.

The whole policy in four lines. Apart from the camera a host's QR code opens, which the app policy covers, this website collects no personal data at all: there is no form on it, no account, no cookie and no analytics. Until 15 October 2026 it had a sign-up form that took an email address, and that list still exists; it is being mailed once and then deleted. Write to hello@kachak-app.com to be removed sooner.

Who we are

This website is operated by KACHAK SPACE INNOVATION (SSM registration 202603188421, KT0617814-H), a business registered in Malaysia. Where this policy says “we” or “us”, that is who it means.

For anything to do with your personal data, write to hello@kachak-app.com. A person reads it.

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website only. The Kachak app has its own policy, covering photos, event spaces, guest lists and payments, because it handles far more than this site does.

What we collect

Nothing outside the browser camera above. The rest of the site has no form, no account to create and nothing to log in to; it never asks for your name, email, phone number, address or payment details, and sets no cookie that could identify you.

The one list we still hold

Until 15 October 2026 the home page and the FAQ carried a “notify me” form. Its only purpose was to tell people the day the iPhone app launched, and it said so: one email when iOS lands, nothing else, ever.

iOS launched on 15 October 2026. The form has been removed. The list of addresses it gathered still exists, held by Loops — servers outside Malaysia, processing on our instructions only, no use of their own. It is being sent that one email and then deleted, and it is not used for anything else: no newsletter, no marketing from other companies, no “partner offers”.

Other than Loops, nobody has ever had it. We have not sold, rented, traded or shared it with advertisers or data brokers, and we will not. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose it, we will tell you unless the law forbids us from doing so.

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for removal at any time at hello@kachak-app.com — before the launch email or after it.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session tracking and no fingerprinting. We do not know who visits, how often, or where from.

One third party still receives a request from your browser when a page loads, because the site pulls its typefaces from it:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — for the three typefaces.

Serving a file means that service can see your IP address and basic browser details, in the same way any website you visit can. That happens in your browser, not through us, and we receive nothing from it and have no access to their logs. The icons used to be fetched from unpkg and are now served from this domain, so that request is gone; we are looking at doing the same for the typefaces.

Your rights

For the closed list described above — and for anything you believe we hold — Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and equivalent rules elsewhere let you ask us to:

  • tell you whether we hold your address, and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it, or withdraw the consent you gave.

Email hello@kachak-app.com and we will action it. There is no charge, and no form to fill in. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner in Malaysia.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS and holds nothing of yours. The closed list described above lives with a provider that encrypts data in transit and at rest, and holds one address per person and nothing else — because the safest data is the data you never collected. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and now collects nothing from anyone. We did not knowingly collect an address from anyone under 13 while the form existed; if you believe a child’s address is on the closed list, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we ever start collecting something, we will update this page and change the date at the top before we do — not after. If the change is significant and you are on the closed list, we will email you about it rather than quietly editing the page.
