What we do with your email.

Short version: we ask for one thing, use it for one thing, and delete it the moment you tell us to.

The whole policy in four lines. The only personal data this website collects is an email address, and only if you type one into the sign-up form. We use it to send you one message when the Kachak app launches. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it. Reply to any email — or write to kachak.test@gmail.com — and we will delete it.

Who we are

This website is operated by KACHAK SPACE INNOVATION (SSM registration 202603188421, KT0617814-H), a business registered in Malaysia. Where this policy says “we” or “us”, that is who it means.

For anything to do with your personal data, write to kachak.test@gmail.com. A person reads it.

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website only. The Kachak app is still in development; when it launches it will have its own policy covering photos, event spaces, guest lists and payments, because it handles far more than this site does.

What we collect

One thing: your email address, and only if you choose to enter it into the “Be on the first roll” form on the home page or the contact page.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or payment details anywhere on this site. There is no account to create and nothing to log in to.

Why we collect it, and your consent

To tell you when the app is available. That is the entire purpose.

You give consent by entering your address and then clicking the confirmation link we email you. Until you click that link, we do not add you to the list. If you never confirm, the address is discarded.

We will not use your address for anything you did not sign up for. No newsletters you did not ask for, no marketing from other companies, no “partner offers”.

Who else can see it

We use Loops to store the sign-up list and send the launch email. They process the data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes. Their servers are located outside Malaysia, which means your address is transferred out of the country for storage.

Other than Loops, nobody. We do not sell, rent, trade or share your address with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose it, we will tell you unless the law forbids us from doing so.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until twelve months after the app launches — whichever comes first. After that the address is deleted from our list and from Loops.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click and you are off the list.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session tracking and no fingerprinting. We do not know who visits, how often, or where from.

Two third parties do receive a request from your browser when a page loads, because the site pulls its typefaces and icons from them:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — for the three typefaces.
  • unpkg (unpkg.com) — for the interface icons.

Serving a file means those services can see your IP address and basic browser details, in the same way any website you visit can. That happens in your browser, not through us, and we receive nothing from it and have no access to their logs. We are looking at hosting both ourselves so that even this stops.

Your rights

Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and equivalent rules elsewhere, you can ask us to:

  • tell you whether we hold your address, and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it, or withdraw the consent you gave.

Email kachak.test@gmail.com and we will action it. There is no charge, and no form to fill in. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner in Malaysia.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, and the sign-up list lives with a provider that encrypts data in transit and at rest. We keep the list as small as it can be — one address per person and nothing else — because the safest data is the data you never collected. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect email addresses from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on the list, we will email you about it rather than quietly editing the page.
